Authorization puts SimpliGov’s Government Operations platform in the hands of FedRAMP-regulated agencies, digitizing the workflows behind their programs
SACRAMENTO, Calif. and WASHINGTON, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SimpliGov, the platform that helps government agencies design, run, and improve how their programs operate, today announced it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Authorization in partnership with Knox Systems (Knox), the largest, longest-running federal managed cloud. This authorization delivers the highest available assurance of data protection for the state and local agencies already on the platform, and now extends that access to federal agencies as well.
Agencies currently rely on systems that were built to store information, while all of the coordination and work behind every program, from intake to sign-off to payment, happens manually across inboxes and spreadsheets. The teams who understand these programs best have historically lacked the tools to change how they operate, and as a result services slow down and hard-won institutional knowledge walks out the door whenever staff turn over.
With this authorization in place, the SimpliGov government operations platform connects with existing systems and gives program teams visibility into where work sits and where it slows down, so they can adjust workflows as policies shift — without waiting on IT backlogs or outside consultants. SimpliGov also gives agencies a foundation to increase their use of AI, including converting existing PDFs into digital forms with SimpliAI Forms.
“Government teams carry a responsibility to the people they serve, and that starts with keeping their data secure,” said Jill Schornack, Chief Product & Technology Officer of SimpliGov. “This milestone reflects the standard we hold ourselves to for every state and local agency we work with and extends it to the federal government. SimpliGov was built for government from the ground up, so the security and operational realities of public sector work are part of the platform’s foundation.”
Knox’s authorization framework and deep FedRAMP expertise gave SimpliGov a clear, well-defined path through the process — allowing the company to meet the same rigorous security requirements more efficiently than it could have on its own. That authorization now extends SimpliGov’s Government Operations platform to federal agencies, as well as to state and local agencies with heightened security requirements of their own.
“Modernizing government starts with the operations underneath it, not just the technology layered on top,” said Irina Denisenko, CEO of Knox Systems. “By partnering with Knox to achieve FedRAMP High Authorization, SimpliGov is keeping government programs moving and giving the most tightly regulated agencies the same ability every other program team already has: to run their own workflows, own their own data, and build the digitized foundation their AI ambitions will eventually depend on.”
