BERLIN, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hohem today unveiled Eyepic at IFA 2026, marking the brand’s major debut into intelligent imaging. As the world’s first 2-in-1 pocket gimbal camera, Eyepic represents a shift in content creation, offering users the power of full-resolution native 4K vertical video in a design that is as versatile as it is compact.
Eyepic bridges the gap between high-performance handheld filming and hands-free storytelling. By integrating a detachable camera unit with three-axis stabilisation, the device allows users to switch seamlessly from ultra-smooth handheld filming to a lightweight, wearable perspective. With a simple one-handed rotation of the integrated 2.51-inch touchscreen, the camera physically reorients, capturing full-resolution 4K vertical video without the need for cropping.
This launch anchors Hohem’s expanded intelligent-imaging portfolio, which debuts at IFA 2026, including the iSteady V4 Ultra and iSteady X4 smartphone gimbals and the Mic 2 wireless microphone.
Eyepic: From Stabilised Handheld Shooting to Hands-Free Filming
Eyepic combines the movement of a gimbal with a detachable camera for hands-free filming. When attached, it delivers smooth, stabilised video; detached, it becomes a lightweight wearable camera for new perspectives.
A hat clip and lanyard are ideal for everyday use, including family days out, travel, cycling, walks with pets, outdoor activities and more. The camera can also be mounted on suitable magnetic metal surfaces, and is waterproof to 10 m (32.8 ft) for underwater and splash-level footage.
When detached, the gimbal retracts and locks. Users can monitor a 1080p live preview and adjust settings on the handle’s 2.51-inch touchscreen from up to 10 m (32.8 ft) away.
Full-Resolution Vertical 4K Video, Built for Sharing
With a one-handed rotation of the touchscreen, users can switch between landscape and portrait shooting. The camera physically reorients to follow the screen, with the setting customisable through the menu. In vertical mode, Eyepic records at up to 2160 × 3840 at 60 fps, capturing full-resolution vertical 4K rather than cropping a horizontal frame. The result is footage framed for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from the point of capture, rather than adapted from horizontal video afterwards.
Hohem iSteady V4 Ultra and iSteady X4: AI Gimbal for Every Kind of Shoot
Hohem is also showcasing two smartphone gimbals designed to make it easier to keep subjects in frame and create smoother phone video, including:
- iSteady V4 Ultra combines a detachable touchscreen remote with live preview, Frame-to-Track subject selection and native Apple DockKit tracking in the iPhone Camera app and compatible apps.
- iSteady X4 offers native Apple DockKit tracking, an integrated touch-control panel and a 360-degree infinite pan axis for panoramic photos and video.
Hohem Mic 2: Lightweight Wireless Audio for Group Recording
Built for multi-person recording, Mic 2 pairs one receiver with up to four transmitters for interviews, panels and group conversations. Each 7.7g transmitter records 48kHz/24-bit audio with adaptive AI noise cancellation, while a wireless range of up to 300 m (984 ft) is designed for stable performance in busy RF environments.
