PR Newswire
ST. LOUIS, Sept. 3, 2026
Elizabeth Tucker and Brett Travers join the firm’s health care regulatory and real estate practices, signaling rapid investment in the Missouri market.
ST. LOUIS, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hall Render, the nation’s leading law firm focused exclusively on health care, is pleased to welcome Elizabeth (“Ellie”) Tucker and Brett Travers as shareholders to its recently opened office in St. Louis, Missouri. Ellie is a health care operations and regulatory attorney primarily representing clients in the post-acute care sector, while Brett advises health care clients on real estate and corporate matters.
The additions underscore the Firm’s rapid investment in St. Louis following the August 3 opening of its office in the market, which formalized Hall Render’s longstanding presence serving health care organizations in the region and throughout Missouri.
“Based on years of experience working with health care organizations in St. Louis, we knew that as soon as we opened a physical office here we would benefit from bringing on exceptional local talent like Ellie and Brett to expand our capacity to serve clients across the state,” said John Bowen, St. Louis Office Managing Partner. “Ellie and Brett each bring a rare, practical combination of deep subject-matter expertise and real-world operational experience that will immediately benefit our clients on the ground here in St. Louis and across the country. We are thrilled to have both of them joining the firm in St. Louis as we continue enhancing our services in this market.”
Health care organizations across the St. Louis region and nationwide are navigating increasingly complex legal and business challenges. Health system consolidation and expansion, pressure around reimbursement and operating costs and continued investment in technology and new models of care are creating sophisticated legal needs across the health care sector. As these forces continue to reshape the market, providers are seeking counsel that can advise across regulatory, transactional, operational and strategic issues. The addition of Ellie and Brett further expands Hall Render’s ability to serve clients across these areas, complementing the Firm’s national health care capabilities and longstanding client relationships in the region.
Ellie Tucker
Ellie is a health care operations attorney who advises health care providers on licensure, regulatory compliance, enrollment and day-to-day operational matters, with a particular focus on senior living, skilled nursing and other post-acute care providers.
Ellie brings significant experience advising health care organizations on complex regulatory requirements, operational risk and matters involving state and federal regulatory agencies. She also represents providers in regulatory enforcement matters and administrative appeals, including certification survey appeals.
Ellie is admitted to practice in Missouri, Illinois and California and earned her bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, her master’s from Washington University in St. Louis Brown School of Social Work and her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Brett Travers
Brett combines sophisticated commercial real estate counsel with firsthand experience as a senior living executive. He advises owners, operators, developers, investors, lenders and closely held businesses on transactions and strategic matters, with particular depth across the senior living investment lifecycle.
Prior to joining Hall Render, Brett served in executive leadership as general counsel for a senior living developer, builder, owner and operator where he oversaw the company’s growth from eight locations in three states to 52 locations across eight states.
Brett is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois and earned his bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University and his Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law.
“The addition of Ellie and Brett, as we have just opened our doors in St. Louis, reflects the strong demand we are seeing for sophisticated health care legal services in this market,” said Gregg Wallander, Hall Render President and CEO. “We are deliberate about where and how we grow, and St. Louis is a natural extension of our longstanding work with health care organizations across Missouri. Their arrival reinforces our investment in the St. Louis market and expands our ability to support health care clients throughout the region.”
